Hyesung is an award-winning animation director/designer based in San Francisco. For over 10 years, he has spent his time to create numerous animations for some of the world’s leading brands such as Nintendo, Verizon, Fanta, Mc Donald’s and Chobani. He also taught a design portfolio class at School of Visual Arts for 7 years.

He received many awards including One Show and Webby Awards with his work. One of his works, Lily and the Snowman, was nominated in Cannes Lion for the Short Film category and screened in many festivals including New York Festival and 23rd Stuttgart Festival of Animation.

Hyesung is currently working at Pixar Animation Studios as Art Director. Before Pixar, he worked at Blue Sky Studios for 4 years. During his time at Blue Sky, he worked on Spies in Disguise(2019, Color Design) and Ice Age: Scrat Tales(2021, Color Design Lead).
